1. Statutory Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer and enter into a distance contract with BeFounder, you generally have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving a reason, where the statutory withdrawal right applies.

For service contracts, the withdrawal period generally begins on the day the contract is concluded.

2. How to Withdraw

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from the contract by a clear statement.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient to send your withdrawal notice before the withdrawal period expires.

3. Effects of Withdrawal

Where a valid statutory withdrawal is exercised, payments received in connection with the relevant contract will be refunded in accordance with applicable law.

Refunds are generally made using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless another method has been expressly agreed.

4. Services Started During the Withdrawal Period

If you expressly request that performance of a service begins before the end of the statutory withdrawal period, statutory rules regarding services already provided may apply.

Where legally permitted, you may be required to pay an appropriate amount corresponding to the services provided up to the time of withdrawal.

5. Loss or Exclusion of the Withdrawal Right

In certain circumstances provided by law, the withdrawal right may not apply or may expire early.

This may apply, for example, where a service has been fully performed after the consumer expressly requested performance to begin during the withdrawal period and acknowledged the legally relevant consequences.

Any statutory requirements for such an exception remain unaffected.

6. Cancellation Outside the Statutory Withdrawal Period

Cancellation rights outside the statutory withdrawal period depend on the specific service, program, subscription or agreement.

Any additional cancellation terms will be communicated before the relevant contract is concluded.

Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Where required by applicable law, customers who concluded an eligible distance contract through our online interface may also use the online withdrawal function made available on the website.
